We Prepare & File
We confirm your mark, identify the right class and an accurate description of your goods and services, and file a complete application with the USPTO, the details that determine whether your application succeeds.
A registered trademark is one of the smartest ways to protect your brand. A real attorney prepares and files your application with the USPTO, correctly and completely, so you avoid the delays and rejections that trip up DIY filers.
We confirm your mark, identify the right class and an accurate description of your goods and services, and file a complete application with the USPTO, the details that determine whether your application succeeds.
An examining attorney reviews your application and may issue an office action. We monitor your status and, depending on your package, respond to office actions so your registration stays on track.
Once approved and published without successful opposition, your trademark registers, giving you nationwide rights, the ® symbol, and a protectable, enforceable brand asset.
Choose the level of protection that fits your brand. Every package is a flat attorney fee, the USPTO adds a separate $350 government fee per class.

The reviews are what led me to call Cordero Law and even after speaking to numerous other lawyers and firms Julian was the only one I felt comfortable using. His honesty really comes through and he helped me navigate through a very difficult business situation as only a person who genuinely cares about his client can. Feeling confident that you are in good hands is the most important factor in business dealings and Julian really lives up to the reviews from others. Stop searching, this is the team you want handling your business. I can’t thank him enough for his time and honesty.

I wish I had Julian when I started my business adventure – he’s been great, and open. I love how he can blend an easy explanation into a legal conversation so I understand what’s going on. He’s made my life bearable and cleared. I will say I love the phone process, you get a chance to get a vibe and can really see how well you gel before a total commitment. All in all he’s been a great asset to our project.

Julian Cordero is awesome. This is the first time that I am in a situation where I needed a lawyer. I was extremely clueless about how any of this worked but Julian cleared everything up for me. Julian doesn’t just work for you, he works WITH you. Every step of the way. He would always ask if something was okay with me before making any decisions himself, he’d always notify me with updates and ask if I had any questions. His rates should go up because of the awesome service he provides. If you need a lawyer who listens, who tries to understand, HIRE JULIAN. He helped save me from what I thought was a career ending situation. Thank you Mr. Cordero. You are truly a blessing.

Your application is prepared and filed by Julian Cordero, founder of Cordero Law, not a call-center or an automated form.
A trademark application is the formal process of registering your brand with the USPTO, and the details matter. The class you choose, the description of your goods and services, and your specimen all shape whether your application succeeds. We make sure they're right.
Incomplete or inaccurate applications get delayed or rejected, and the USPTO filing fee isn't refundable. Filing correctly the first time protects both your timeline and your money.
You're not navigating the USPTO alone. We handle the legal nuances, explain your options in plain English, and keep your application moving toward registration.
Every package includes a federal trademark search, preparation and filing of your application by a licensed attorney, and status monitoring through registration. Higher tiers add a deeper search and handling of USPTO office actions. We confirm your class and goods/services description before filing, the details that most often decide whether an application succeeds.
The USPTO charges its own government filing fee of $350 per class of goods or services, separate from our attorney fee. So your total is our flat package price plus $350 for each class you file in. We'll confirm how many classes you need before filing.
From filing to registration typically takes roughly 8 to 14 months, depending on the USPTO's current backlog and whether your application receives an office action. We prepare your application carefully to minimize avoidable delays and monitor its status throughout.
You can file on your own, but the USPTO filing fee is non-refundable and DIY applications are far more likely to hit refusals over the class, the goods-and-services description, or the specimen. An attorney gets those details right the first time and speaks the examiner's language if questions come up.
If you've already cleared your mark, the Basic package covers a solid filing. The Complete package adds a deeper search and handling of routine office actions. The Super Hero package adds a common-law search and coverage for substantive office actions, giving you the most protection from start to finish.
We'll recommend the right fit in your free consultation.
An office action is a letter from the examining attorney raising a question or refusal. Non-substantive issues (like a description tweak) are common and routine. Our Complete package handles non-substantive office actions, and Super Hero adds coverage for substantive refusals, so your application stays on track.
Our attorney fees are fully refundable until services are rendered, and you're entitled to a refund for any work not yet performed. The separate USPTO government fee is non-refundable once your application is filed. See our trademark engagement terms for details.
